About Me

I have loved taking photos my entire life, from the first disposable camera I was given as a 5 year old. I grew up in South Africa, where there’s a lot to photograph, but I didn’t really take it too seriously until I was a teenager, when I began documenting family trips in a camper van through Europe (well before ‘vanlife’ was cool!).

Eventually I started to take photos of anything and everything, and was distinctly shocked the first time someone asked me to photograph an event in exchange for payment.

I’ve really just continued to grow from there, and now photography is both my main passion and miraculously also my job!

My photography style at the moment has no obvious niche – and I’m fine with that. This is something I think is hugely overpromoted in social media and advice nowadays but I think it’s important to improve your skills and your knowledge of all aspects of photography to allow yourself to grow as a photographer, and this involves finding joy and interest in all sorts of different areas.

I look forward to continue watching where photography takes me!
